Dr. Malcolm J Blackie

Dr. Malcolm BlackieMalcolm is now partly retired but has spent his life working with smallholders. His interest in development issues has a special focus on agricultural development in southern and eastern Africa which is linked to his home in Zimbabwe. A particular emphasis is on mentoring of young people, especially from Africa, to contribute their skills and enthusiasm to development issues. He is a founder trustee of the Apsara Charitable Trust which aims to build entrepreneurial skills in African graduates. He is also a member of the International Advisory Panel for RUFORUM and serves as a mentor to undergraduate students at the University of Nottingham under their alumnus scheme.
