To promote collaboration and understand global change on the international scale, Michigan State University (MSU) initiated the International Center for Global Change Science (GCS), a joint strategy involving regional institutions in Asia, Africa and South America. We are supported by the university’s International Studies and Programs (ISP) and the College of Social Science (CSS) are located within the existing Center for Global Change and Earth Observations (CGCEO).
We foster collaboration among faculty and researchers at both MSU and international institutions and develop global mitigation and adaptation strategies that consider society and environmental interactions. With our initial focus on three continents (Asia, Africa, and America), our joint efforts contribute to real-world global solutions that help communities adjust to global environmental change.
