The Global Change Science (GCS) is a team of international researchers who invite you to join in the search for sustainable solutions to agricultural, health, and environmental problems. Explore our Learning Labs for projects, new discoveries and techniques from around the globe that could help your community.
Why Learning Labs?
Global change is a phenomenon beyond any single country’s ability to cope with, and international collaborative efforts are being called upon to fully understand its magnitude and associated environmental consequences. This same call exists for effective mitigation and adaptation strategies for community decision-making.
Learning Labs provide useful methods for communities interested in combating the effects of climate change.
Since the beginning of GCS, understanding international dimensions of global change has been the central goal. Addressing climate change and its consequences is at the core of our current research themes.
Recent research efforts have covered the Great Lakes region, East Africa and the coastal region of China and have involved long-term partners from Zhejiang University, China and the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
